Looking back on the Lipbone

These chapters of the Turnage Theater, in retrospect, in these rare images offered below, are in chronological order, and if you do not see a show that you were particularly fond of; please, be aware of this one policy of mine - I did not publish images of every performer, only the ones I rather enjoyed. My mother made a deep impression on me: "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Additionally, all photos for this article have never been published prior to this post.
Yes, it is true that
Lipbone Redding and the Lipbone Orchestra did "
return for a second helping at the Turnage Theater." For Lipbone Redding, a man who travels far and wide - "nation-building" for his soulful tunes, one at a time - as if his life depended on it, coming back home to eastern North Carolina is a rare necessity.
And when
Lipdone does come home to re-charge his batteries, we can always count on the lip-trombone maestro and bandleader of
the Lipbone Orchestra to play a few local gigs - this time at the
Turnage Theater on April 15, 2011.
Before we get started with the pictures, here below,
Lipbone Redding and the Lipbone Orchestra, with two really good shows under their belts, will join the list of the six best bands to play the Turnage Theater since June 30, 2009. Also on the list, with the
Lipbone Orchestra, is

Missy Raines and the New Hip,
Molasses Creek. Who will be the 5th ensemble to join the venerable list?
