Liberals Still Using Group Think to Reconcile Horrendous Loss | Eastern North Carolina Now

Recently, in a Facebook debate, a liberal detractor made an issue of President-elect Trump's 'poor' appointments for service in his administration, using the possible pick of Rudy Giuliani as an example. His position was: 'Rudy Giuliani is not smart or a good person'.

My quick retort to my liberal Facebook friend's simple analysis was the basic reminder of who "America's Mayor" actually is:

    "Rudy is not smart?

The mayor who cleaned up New York; the Prosecutor that brought down the mob?

    Not smart?

    Wow, that explains it all."

And for me, this brief exchange does explain it all: Liberals are given talking points from Group Think Central to explain issues that are Liberal biased, not based in any logic. The Rudy Giuliani slight, by the Facebook Liberal, was to imply that "America's Mayor" is not to be respected because of his principled positions, which Rudy adamantly defends without failure. Obviously, the Facebook Liberal did not get the full memo of former New York Mayor Guiliani's failings, but the Liberal still knew to attack indiscriminately.

What I am finding in the Liberal /Socialist Group Think paradigm is that: 1) L. Hillary Clinton 'actually won the popular vote', which delegitimizes the Trump vicotry; 2) 'FBI Director Comey deliberately cost L. Hillary Clinton the election over email investigation'; 3) 'America is too bigoted to accept a female president'; 4) 'Trump, as a racist, won the White Supremacist block vote', etcetera. The possible 'fly-in-the ointment' is that Liberals are not always schooled in the working knowledge of these contrived issue, so the mouthing of these Liberal excuses humorously rings hollow, devoid of any real substance. Liberals are devolving to an intellectual point to where all they understand are the Group Think Identity Politics' that has become the staple of their liberal electorate's analysis.

What the affected Liberals will not mention is that the 2016 general election was not only a Trump blowout in the Electoral College, but many down ballot seats in even more states went to far more Republicans across the nation at all levels of government, in fact, since Liberal /Socialist Barack Hussein Obama has been president, since 2010, the Democrats have lost:

    14 U.S. Senate seats

    69 U.S. House seats

    12 governorships

    910 state legislature seats

Beyond the reality that Republicans hold majorities in both houses of congress, and soon the judicial branch, the currently won majorities that Republicans hold in the fifty state governments are becoming substantial, and is well exemplified by the Electoral Congress map. Winning, and holding more, smaller populated, but larger land mass states, rather than the urban population centers, is an irrepressible strength that is not party centric, even though the Republicans enjoy the current majority. It is a strength manifested by the political representation of the Americans that are closer to the land, where people tend to seek work far more emphatically than those that seek welfare, and hold core American principles close to their patriotic bosom.

The majority of These Americans have been accused by Liberals of being: Rednecks, White Supremacists, Bigots, Xenophobes, Misogynists, etc., but L. Hillary Clinton may have summed it up best by lumping all of these "Irredeemable" Americans into the infamous "Basket of Deplorables". These Americans are not aligned with the Republican Party, but they tend to vote Republican when Republican candidates have the larger message that they identify with. The Socialist Liberals of the new Democrat Party, the party of Barack Hussein Obama, L. Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren does not resonate with them.

The further problem with the Democrat party, because of all the aforementioned losses of public offices and the powerful Group Think paradigm, is that they have a very thin bench, with little in the way of original ideas as solutions, that should speak to these Americans. It does not. This is why Democrats lost public offices all across the nation, this why L. Hillary Clinton, running as Barack Hussein Obama's third Socialist term, took a drubbing in the Electoral College.

The election is over, but solutions must be implement and soon for the Republic to survive. The often maligned Rudy Giuliani knows that, and articulates it well.

Regardless of who was your champion in this past presidential election: Will you recognize the duly elected leader of the Free World?
I will never recognize President Donald J. Trump because he is not worthy.
I will recognize President Donald J. Trump, providing he respects the office in which he holds.
"At this point, what difference does it make?"

Yeah, and when we amend College to Accord, we need to go one step further and any electors the right to vote their conscience rather than the will of the electorate.

That amendment would pass.

I am always amazed that those of the Liberal persuasion say those of us who are not are narrow-minded and intolerant of diversity, and then when they get control of the power reins they resort to the very thing that they complain about in their opponents. At some point, we must all agree that the problem is not our opinions but the power we grant to those we elect to run roughshod over the minority opinion. The only change I would make to the Electoral College is to change it to the Electoral Accord because our current 'Colleges' are giving it a bad name.

I found out a long time ago that you cannot find solutions when the other side shows up with a megaphone, cameras, and a crowd. They are not looking for solutions but merely "organizing" which is a never-ending process.

One of the most enlightening articles I have read is by Charles Cook, (see link below) I guess I would be a classical liberal but I kind of like the term conservatarian.

Exactly.

That is why I am so amused when I here Liberals so seriously discuss: 'What are we going to do about the Electoral College'?

And I already know the answer: Not a damn thing.

The genius of our nation is that we can change the "direction" of our nation every two years but we can only change the foundation with deliberate and laborious procedures. That was until we started allowing the executive branch and the federal government have powers not designated to it.

And this is why our Founders instituted the Electoral College; so urbane areas of the nation would not dominate the agrarian heartland, where citizen's are closer to the land.

Statisticians will debate the details of this election forever, but it is clear that the popular vote difference is largely due to California alone. New York was also heavily weighted in favor of Clinton.

Chalk up another one for the founding fathers wisdom.
