An Amateur President and a Lawless Attorney General 'Walk Into a Bar' | Eastern North Carolina Now

Kind of sounds like the beginning of a funny joke; however, sadly, it is not.

Kind of sounds like the beginning of a funny joke; however, sadly, it is not.

A joke, like any good narrative, has a beginning, a middle and an end. One group may suggest the punchline (the ending) should be: 'Yeah, because we're both Black.' Another alternate group may possibility suggest that the punchline should be: 'Yeah, because we are both unprincipled and egregiously stupid.'

I, of course, would take the second punchline as their position of profound purpose; others may see it the other way. What does matter is that it is one big joke of an executive branch, with the 'Amateur' and his legal muscle, Eric Holder - at the taxpayer's expense - leading us into the abyss of a very unsafe, unstable future.

It was a busy week for both the 'Amateur President' and the 'Lawless Attorney General'. For Candidate Obama, it was yet another vacation for the 'Imperial President', and except for a few hours at the office, it was golfing with professional athletes at Martha's Vineyard. On Wednesday, 'The Amateur' spoke to the American People, promising that he would exhibit some measure of 'concern' over the beheading of Photo-Journalist James Foley by ISIL (Obama speak for ISIS) - even pushed back his 'tee time' with former NBA great Alonzo Mourning. On Thursday, the 'Lawless Attorney General' announced that his Justice Department would treat the murder of James Foley 'as an open criminal investigation', and that they would attempt to prosecute those responsible for the American's death, should there be evidence to do so ... kind of like the way they have prosecuted the Benghazi terrorist attack over the last two years (one mid-level attacker in custody so far), after discovering that it really wasn't prompted by a 'despicable video' .

The 'Lawless Attorney General' did also meet this week with the community leaders /protesters /rioters /looters in Ferguson, Missouri to announce that his justice department 'stood with the people of Ferguson'. The 'Lawless A.G.' wanted 'these people' to be aware that he was personally minding the federal civil rights investigation into the shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown earlier, and wanted 'these people' to know that he would pay as much attention to this case as he did the Trayvon Martin case. Also this week, the 'Lawless Attorney General' discovered that a federal judge ruled that he would be required to provide documents to congress regarding the scandal "Fast and Furious", and, accordingly, that he was indeed In Contempt of Congress over 'stonewalling' that governing body for over 3 years over not delivering the documents in this early Obama Administration scandal.

Furthermore for the 'Lawless Eric Holder's' busy week, he settled with Bank of America for 17 billion in fines rather than bringing to bear the full weight of the Justice Department - at the taxpayers' expense - upon that bank, who bought Country Wide Mortgage and Merrill Lynch at the urging of then Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson to aid the nation in staving off any greater damage from the banking crisis. Country Wide and Merrill Lynch were found to be in violation of proper banking principles in the packaging of loans. Many financial executives of esteemed merit, such as former Wells Fargo CEO Richard Kovacevich, have acknowledged that the current Justice Department's efforts in the Bank of America affair as 'a publicly financed shakedown, extortion'. I suppose it goes without declaring: There will never be another bank to buy another ailing lending institution, at the behest of the Federal Government, in any future financial crisis. I can not fathom that request ever being fulfilled again by a healthy bank. That is what happens when there mistrust among us, and one more principled government cannot bind another that is so totally unprincipled as is the Obama Administration.

This busy week for the 'Lawless Attorney General' and the 'Amateur President' is just another sorry chapter in the degradation of this once great land; a land that First Lady Michelle Obama could 'never be proud of until her Barry was elected'.

I will conclude with the obvious: An Amateur President and a Lawless Attorney General 'Walk Into a Bar'. In this case, the principled, more intelligent class of the American People are truly the butt of this joke of this elected betrayal.
