I got a kick out of Charles Seabrook's late March "Atlanta Journal-Consitution" column where he described the first day of spring as New Year's Day for "wild creatures."

This Mother's Day is another without my mom, who passed away in 2014. I won't be searching for the perfect card, preparing a Mother's Day dinner or making plans with my sisters to take Mom out.

Each piece in the exhibit is a visualization of the song of a specific bird—Hermit Thrush, Mourning Warbler, Robin, Winged Blackbird, Bluebird, Cerulean Warbler, Carolina Wren and Carolina Chickadee.
