About

I am very passionate about my work. I am a news junkie. I read everything from magazines, journal publications, newspapers, to novels and blogs. I am fascinated with the world of journalism and could never see myself in any other career. I was born to write. I’ve kept journals from as long as I remember and am currently writing a book.

Born in New Haven, Ct. I grew up in West Haven, Ct. Moved to Pamlico County, NC where I finished secondary school and Community College in Pamlico County NC. Always excelling in spelling, grammar, and English courses it was inevitable that I would become some type of figure in the “news world”.

I attended UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication, my concentration was Electronic Media. While at UNC, I was on the Emmy award winning college news team Carolina Week. I reported news and during show times worked as a tape operator. It was here that I learned the most and was prepared to enter the journalism field.

I was able to intern at WTVD ABC-11 in Durham, NC. I interned in the news department under several veterans and gained a lot of valuable experience.

I am currently residing in Pamlico County and providing public relations services for several organizations in the area. One of which is a non-profit organization by the name of VintageStar! This organization was developed by me and two others who are from Pamlico County and attended UNC-Chapel Hill as well.

Through serving as Director of Public Relations for VintageStar! I fell in love with every aspect of the job, which is how I branched over from television news to PR, although I am not closing the door to TV journalism, I am pursuing PR full-time as a freelancer and would love to meet and talk with anyone who has advice to share or is need of PR services.
