Rep. John Boehner,
   Speaker of the House

     Dear Mr. Speaker,

Where in the world did the notion that the Reps are the villains who keep threatening to shut down the government come from?? The Anointed One says it; Harry Reid says it; Nancy P. says it; it turns up in all the Dem talking points papers. It's a guess but I would be willing to opine that it may have been the occasionally bombastic Newt Gingrich when he was speaker a long time ago who coined the phrase and made the threat. Unfortunately the Government did get "shut down" and the Reps got the blame.

It's time that the record got put straight. "How?", you ask. Easy. Pass a budget in the House that will keep the government in operation (with no funding for Obamacare - and with or without funding for the Syrian adventure depending on whether the Congress approves or rejects the Anointed Ones' request for approval (so he can save face after his idiotic threat about the red line). The House action must be accompanied with great and continuing fanfare to the effect that the Reps are funding the government to avoid a shutdown.

It seems rather likely that the Anointed One's man in the Senate, the ex-pugilist from Nevada, would reject it out of hand as he is wont to do with most other House originated bills. (Presumably when he does that it leaves the Anointed One free to charge that the Reps have made no offers or suggestions as to what the Government should be doing.) At that point the Reps should make sure that the American public understands that it was Harry Reid and his band of highwaymen who are voting to shut down the Government. You can't just say this once. You need to keep repeating it until even the hard core Dems begin to believe it. The Reps need to produce a daily torrent of "Talking point" papers with that in every one of them.

Then we'll see just how serious the Dems are about keeping the government in operation.

    John! Are you listening??

    Respectfully,

     Jim Bispo
