    GREENVILLE     Coastal Family Medicine & Wellness Center is now affiliated with Vidant Medical Group, operating under the name Vidant Family Medicine - Outer Banks.

    "I am excited to join Vidant in bringing integrative primary care to the Outer Banks," said Dr. Christina Bowen, MD.

    Vidant Family Medicine - Outer Banks offers comprehensive health care, including preventive care and wellness screenings as well as urgent and acute care, to adults 18 and over in the Currituck and Outer Banks areas. The facility is located at 5200 North Croatan Highway, Suite 7, in Kitty Hawk. Main office hours are Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

    Bowen and Virginia Jeanne Moore, physician assistant, are the primary providers of services. Bowen earned her medical degree at East Carolina University and served her medical internship at Duke Obstetrics & Gynecology at Duke University School of Medicine and her residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Physicians and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Moore is a graduate of Duke University's physician assistant program and earned her bachelor of science degree in Public Health with a degree in nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is licensed with the North Carolina Medical Board.
