A new scientific study published in the British medical journal The Lancet has found that people who regularly eat plant-based fake meats have a 12% higher rate of heart-related early death than those who do not. The study was conducted by researchers from the University of Sao Paulo and Imperial College London. The research found that while eating fresh vegetables and fruits had a positive effect on health, eating the highly processed plant-based fake meat had the opposite effect.

Meanwhile, BioMADE, a Pentagon contractor is proposing to put fake meat into military mess halls "to reduce their carbon footprint". Unfortunately, the Biden appointees who run our military seem to view the weather as a more fearful enemy than the ChiComs, Muslim terrorists, and Iranians all rolled into one, so they will probably fall for this nonsense at the expense of our military.

I think we are not talking about the same thing. A plant based diet means you eat, whole grains, fruits & vegetable, some dairy and a little meat. It does not mean you live on impossible burgers. Plant based meat products are OK but they are highly processed. One can live on them alone.

Lab grown meat is meat. If proven safe, the market, not MAGA should decide.

The universities involved in the study were in the UK and Brazil, not even in the US, Bobbie. You shoot from the hip with an accusation of who you pull out of thin air to claim paid for it, with nothing to back that up.

The WEF and other globalists have lots more money pushing their "Build Back Better" schemes which are anti-meat. Not only do they push fake meat but also eating crickets and mealworms. There are some big time globalist billionaires like Bill Gates heavily involved in that. There is a lot more anti-meat money out there than pro-meat. If you want to see where the big money is on this issue, do a search on "World Economic Forum" and "meat". They are openly pushing fake meat and opposing real meat, but at their own conferences at Davos, these elitists are going to be eating the real thing themselves. Fake meat is only for the masses.

It was researchers in health and science from two universities who published a peer reviewed article exposing the health problems with fake meat. You are the idiot on the internet shooting from the hip and disagreeing with them. Read the article, not just the linked one but the peer reviewed article which is linked within it. When it comes to our troops health, cutting corners for things that may be harmful is not something we should condone. Imitation meat is not the same thing as real meat. Being fed that junk would also hurt enlistement.

There are two flavors of Repuvlicans, conservatives and RINOs, the latter of which are also known as Undocumented Democrats or Democrats in Drag. Clearly, Bobbie prefers the fake Repuvlicans like Liz Cheney or Thom Tillis.

Forcing it upon our military by serving it in the mess halls is NOT letting the market decide. As the cited scientific study shows, fake meat is NOT healthy, so should this stuff be promoted at all? Maybe the European countries, beginning with Italy, that have banned it have the right idea.
