The Biden administration canceled over 350,000 asylum cases, allowing migrants to stay in the United States indefinitely in a move that experts called "mass amnesty."

Data reviewed in an investigation by the New York Post reveal that the Biden administration closed more than 350,000 asylum cases from migrants who were deemed to not be a threat to the country since 2022. The cases were "terminated without a decision on the merits of their asylum claim," meaning that the migrants neither received nor were denied asylum in the United States.

Those whose cases were terminated are instead able to remain within the United States indefinitely despite not actually being granted asylum. Those with terminated cases also do not have to check in with authorities and are no longer in the legal system. A 2022 memo sent out by Kerry Doyle, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Principal Legal Advisor, instructed prosecutors to allow the cases to be dismissed, the report found.

"This is just a massive amnesty under the guise of prosecutorial discretion," Andrew Arthur, a former immigration judge and current Resident Fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies explained. "You're basically allowing people who don't have a right to be in the United States to be here indefinitely."

A whopping 77 percent of those who've applied for asylum have been allowed to stay in the country under Biden, the report also found, all while the current asylum backlog is more than 3.5 million.

Those who've had their asylum cases terminated can reapply for asylum at a later date or hold out for other potential pathways to citizenship such as mass amnesty, which some Democrats have called on Biden to support.

The revelation comes as the United States has endured an unprecedented crisis on both our southern and northern borders. Authorities have recorded over 9.5 million nationwide encounters and 1.7 million estimated illegal immigrant gotaways under the Biden administration.

The foreign-born population residing in the U.S. has also reached a record high of 51.6 million people under Biden, with the massive increase being driven largely by mass illegal immigration.

The incumbent president appears to be struggling among voters on the crucial election year issue, with one poll finding that just 20 percent of voters believe that the U.S. has control over its own borders. Another poll revealed that Americans trust former President Donald Trump to handle immigration more than they trust Biden.

Understanding that there are two firm positions concerning the Open Border Crises, but many realties regarding its current, and, or projected real impacts to the functioning, sustainability of this Constitutional Republic: What position below best represents what you know to be true regarding this impactful policy?
The United States' must continue the Executive initiative of Open Borders until a Democratic Congress can codify full Demographic Inclusion by keeping the Biden /Harris Open Borders policy in place.
Our United States' borders are sovereign just as are our self-governed citizens, where borders must be maintained, monitored and defended, which is the position of core Republicans.
I am in favor of Open Borders to make my America more of a global community; however, the federal government must now fix problems that "Red State" governors have caused in our cities.
I do NOT favor the Democratic Socialists' disruption of the cultural fabric of my Representative Republic, and there will be Treasonous Hell to Pay when the certain calamity begins in earnest.
