With Presidents Day, the words of five presidents, representing both major parties warn America about the dangers of mass migration into the country:

"New arrivals should be limited to our capacity to absorb them  into the ranks of good citizenship. America must be kept American" - President Calvin Coolidge (who drastically cut the allowed levels for legal immigration)

"All Americans are rightly disturbed by large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country.  The jobs they hold may otherwise be held by citizens or legal immigrants.  The public services they use impose burdens on our taxpayers" - President Bill Clinton (who endorsed a proposal to cut legal immigration numbers in half)

"If they (immigrants) remain alien elements. unassimilated, and with interests separate from ours, they are mere obstructions to the current of our national life. . . the sooner he goes back, the better"  - President Theodore Roosevelt

"The number of immigrants added to the labor force every year is of a magnitude not seen in this country for over a century.. . . this influx of mostly low skill workers . . . threatens to further depress the wages of blue collar Americans and puts strain on an already overburdened safety net."  - President Barack Obama

"Its our right as a sovereign nation to choose immigrants who we think will flourish and thrive and love us" - President Donald Trump

President Eisenhower had the right idea when he implemented Operation Wetback to round up illegal aliens and send them home.

Meanwhile, New York City is handing out debit cards to migrants with as much as $10,000 on them with no fraud controls and no ID checks, all with taxpayer money.

We need Quotas, background checks, and controlled entry for all immigrants. Citizenship laws should be reviewed and made realistic. Non-citizens should be treated as non-citizens. Non-citizens should not have voting rights or welfare privileges. Those breaking the law of unlawful entry or criminal offenses should be deported.
