Florida Governor Ron DeSantis made his case at the start of the third Republican debate in Miami on Wednesday for why he should be the next President of the United States rather than former President Donald Trump.

DeSantis made the remarks while standing at center stage as the highest polling candidate at the debate and the second highest overall in the primary behind Trump.

"This country is in trouble, and the elites that have put us here, they don't care about you," DeSantis said. "They don't care that you're having to grapple with higher grocery prices or have higher gas prices. They don't care that your family is less secure, because of the open border that's allowed drugs and even terrorists to come into this country."

He said that he would not sit by and let the U.S. continue its downward spiral and that he will take the slings and arrows for the American people as he fights to get the country back on track because "it's not about me."

"It's about you. I will fight for you," he said. "I will make sure to lead this country's revival, and I will win for you and your family. Actions speak louder than words. We don't have time for excuses, and it's not something that we're going to be able to have all these distractions. As a veteran, I will get the job done."

DeSantis argued that the current race was a lot different than the race in 2016 and that the former president was not the same candidate that he was in the past.

"He owes it to you to be on this stage and explain why he should get another chance," DeSantis said. "He should explain why he didn't have Mexico pay for the border wall. He should explain why he racked up so much debt. He should explain why he didn't drain the swamp."

"And he said Republicans were gonna get tired of winning. Well, we saw last night - I'm sick of Republicans losing," he concluded. "In Florida, I showed how it's done. One year ago here, we won a historic victory, including a massive landslide right here in Miami Dade County. That's how we have to do it. So, I promise you this: as the nominee next November, I'll get the job done, and as president, I will deliver for you."

In the minds of many, since January 20, 2021, the World has become far less safe in every theater of conflict, beginning with the attack of Israel by Iran /Hamas, so the question becomes: What caused this Worldwide calamity of extreme geopolitical dysfunction, and what will correct it?
Joe Biden is the cause of this frightening Worldwide situation, and it will end when a Republican is elected president.
This delayed Worldwide dysfunction and constant conflict is all Donald Trump's fault, as it is with everything that occurs going forward, and long before the man ever became the 45th president..
Joe Biden is the "root cause" of this frightening Worldwide situation, and it will end when former President Donald John Trump is elected president.
In the imitable words of Alfred E. Newman: "What, me worry?"

26 days after the October 7th Terror attacks on Israel, where over 1400 Jewish men, women and children were gruesomely murdered, and hundreds more made hostage: Should the Biden /Harris administration finally state that the administration's primary Middle East negotiating partner, Iran, is behind the funding and strategy of the aggressors, the Hamas Terrorists, or continue to take the more moderate position of "Don't," which is clearly not working?
Yes, name Iran as the funding /strategy culprit, and begin to enforce the President Trump era sanctions to END Iran's ability to prosecute this war against Israel and the United States.
No, Iran is a valuable partner in the motives of the Biden / Harris administration, and must not be named as the culprit and our enemy.
I have larger concerns just to survive in this economy.
