War on History: Black museum melts Charlottesville R.E. Lee statue | Eastern North Carolina Now

Black History Museum is hateful racist entity

ENCNow

In a Maoist style attack on southern history that smacks strongly of Chairman Mao's "Cultural Revolution", a so-called Black History Museum has melted down the famous mounted statue of General Robert E. Lee that stood in Charlottesville, Virginia.  The statue had been turned over to them by the city council of Charlottesville.  This anti-history act is clearly an act of hatred and racism by that so-called "museum".

The far left tries to tie Lee to slavery even though Lee personally freed the hundreds of slaves he inherited from his father-in-law and wrote in 1859 that "slavery is an institution of moral and political evil".  Instead of looking at Lee's well documented personal opinion on slavery, the far left wants to vilify him for his military leadership for southern independence in the War Between the States.

This anti-history museum should be listed as a hate group.

"The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history." -George Orwell

I hope this racist museum is stripped of its tax exempt status. They are no better than the KKK. I hope someone does NOT try a "turn about" move to attack what history the museum itself holds. No history deserves to be destroyed. Only totalitarians and racists do that. No one should get down in the gutter with these despicable thugs.
