Now that Kamala Harris has been coronated the Democratic Socialist designee for nomination as their candidate for President of these United States, after that political party's contrived primary process "democratically" elected Joseph R. Biden: What are your feelings about this party's progressive posture within their self-styled exercise of "Saving Democracy for America," and how truly critical the outcome of this presidential election will be?

0% I am ecstatic that this "Democracy's" First partially Black, First partially Indian, First female Co-Parent, and that this nation's primary necessity is to elect our First woman president.

25% I really do not care about all these "Firsts." I will continue to pray, and work for this Representative Republic to elect someone competent, and brilliantly patriotic to be our next president.

75% I will never vote for any politician that "first" does not have the core values to understand how dire this Constitutional Republic's situation has become.

    James Burton Carney, age 55, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Friday, March 22, 2013.

    A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens officiated by Servant Mike Huppmann. The family will receive friends following the service at the Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

    James was born November 10, 1957 in Utica, NY the son of the late James Edward Carney and Joan Lee Murdock Carney. Perky served his country in the United States Army until May 18, 1976. James worked with PCS formerly Texas Gulf for thirty five years as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement in 2008. Jim was known for his boisterous political Yankee opinions “Damn Yankee” advocating for many employee rights with the labor union. He was an avid hunter with many awards and also enjoyed fishing. Perky loved animals and had many in his life he especially enjoyed raising his chickens and playing his acoustic guitar. He was always looking forward to his summertime trip to theTurning Stone Casino in New York. A unique spirit tempered by his baby blue eyes and sparkling personality to match.

    He is survived by his only child daughter, Chelsea Carney of Washington, NC; sister, Brenda Carney of New York; brother, Jody Carney of New York; aunt, Judy McCorduck of New York; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special lifelong friends in both New York and North Carolina. He also leaves Trixie his beloved dog. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his former wife Lisa Ginn who preceded him in death in June of 2007.
