Florida Governor Ron DeSantis slammed Bud Light on Monday evening, saying that conservatives should keep pressure up on the company as it faces backlash over its decision to partner with controversial transgender-identifying influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

DeSantis' remarks during the interview with political commentator Benny Johnson come after the company released a statement late last week which generated even more backlash against the company because it was seen across the political spectrum as weak.

"Why would you want to drink Bud Light?" DeSantis asked. "I mean like honestly, that's like them rubbing our faces in it and it's like these companies that do this, if they never have any response, they're just gonna keep doing it."

"So, if you as a consumer are like ... ' yeah, they're doing that, but I'm just gonna keep drinking it anyways,' well, then they're gonna keep doing it," DeSantis said. "So I think we have power as consumers to make our voice heard, and not on every company because sometimes conservative consumers aren't going to make a dent in some companies."

"This one is one if you don't have conservative beer drinkers, you're gonna feel that and so you know, I think it's a thing," DeSantis said. "Some of these controversies that come up, and people can kind of just say, 'oh, well it's kind of a one off, yeah, it was stupid to do,' but it's part of a larger thing where corporate America is trying to change our country. Trying to change policy, trying to change culture, and you know, I'd rather be governed by we the people than woke companies and so I think pushback is in order across the board including with Bud Light."

When asked if he would ever drink Bud Light again, DeSantis responded, "No, I don't think so."

DeSantis said that the company lost him as a customer over the controversy.

It has been far too many years since the Woke theology interlaced its canons within the fabric of the Indoctrination Realm, so it is nigh time to ask: Does this Representative Republic continue, as a functioning society of a self-governed people, by contending with the unusual, self absorbed dictates of the Woke, and their vast array of Victimhood scenarios?
Yes, the Religion of Woke must continue; there are so many groups of underprivileged, underserved, a direct result of unrelenting Inequity; they deserve everything.
No; the Woke fools must be toppled from their self-anointed pedestal; a functioning society of a good Constitutional people cannot withstand this level of "existential" favoritism as it exists now.
I just observe; with this thoughtful observation: What will happen "when the Vikings are breeching our walls;" how do the Woke react?

Baghdad Bob? You do realize that Jesus was from the middle east? Right? The irony.

Horsehockey, Baghdad Bob. It sounds like you are into "liberation theology" when you are not spouting Climate Scientology.

Jann,
In his day, Jesus was "woke". Nobody used that term, (It was coined by African Americans in modern times), but the power structure and money of His day had no use for His radical ideas. That's why they killed him. And for the love of God, It's not a lifestyle !

Well "FedUp" I agree Jesus was with sinners & prostitutes, but I don't see in the good book where he pushed being "WOKE" on children!! So called Christian Conservatives need to be speaking up and pushing back against this evil
and realize what's going on with the children. Jesus is love and he loves ALL and gives us all a choice. You can do whatever you want being an adult, that's between you and GOD but leave the children alone!!! I love my gay family members just as much as the rest of my family. Do I agree with thier life style? NO, but hey it's thier life to live, that's between them and the Father. Pushing this constantly over & over and anyone that speaks against it says it's "hate" and should be condemned is just wrong. We are a country based on freedom so do whatever you choose to do as an adult but it shouldn't be thrown in our faces constantly. Even though Genesis speaks of man & woman which we know the good book says we don't want porn between a man & a woman on public display!!! That's to be done behind closed doors in private!!! So do whatever you wanna do in private, it's the choice you make that GOD gives us all. Just stop pushing it and leave the children alone. So not ALL Christian Conservatives judge whatever you as an adult want to do with your life.

I'm so fed up that so called Christian Conservatives are bashing those they consider "woke". I think being "fully awake" to the diversity and inclusion in our country is a good thing. Why must people who claim to follow Jesus continually bash individuals that are different than themselves? They all need to read the book they claim to live by. Jesus mingled with prostitutes and sinners. I guess you all would hang him like you wanted to do to Mike Pence for following the law. Trump and his "cult followers", Ron DeSantis and GOP Republicans are showing their bias and frankly their ignorance. They don't understand a damn thing about Transgender people or gay individuals for that matter.
