"Cripple their leaders" | Eastern North Carolina Now

Dear (Publisher),

The Left has made their intentions clear...

    "Cripple their leaders"

"Eviscerate the leadership and weaken their ability to govern"

And, now we can add to that list: "infiltrate the State Board of Elections, and break the law."

In a clear violation of North Carolina General Statute 163-82(b), the State Board of Elections (SBE) allowed a company called Allpoint Voter Services to illegally allow more than 12,000 people to register to vote online.

The SBE lawyer, Don Wright, tried to sidestep the accusation by playing word games: He denied that the SBE allowed online voter registration and insisted that it was "web-based voter registration" instead.

That's like saying a certain vehicle is not a "car", but an "automobile".

That's why I need your help to send a message to the State Board of Elections and the Legislature.

Please sign our petition to require a photo ID to vote. We know that this is the best first step the General Assembly can take on its way to election reform in North Carolina.

Voter Photo ID: It's simple, its common sense, and it's the best way to protect our sacred franchise.

My friend, we have reached a tipping point in North Carolina... Now is the time for real elections reform.

The legislature and the Governor support voter photo ID. So do the people.

Let's remind them we need it.

We have proof of the State Board's lawless rule breaking behavior.

    Let's hold them accountable.

Sign our Petition for Real Elections Reform and Voter photo ID Now

The climate for reform has never been better: Just think about how long you and I have waited for this moment. Think how long we've worked to have conservative leadership in the Governor's mansion and the Legislature, and how far-fetched that would have seemed not too long ago!

We have the facts. Let's show them we mean business, and we want voter photo ID!

Today, I testified before the House Elections Committee on the need for Photo ID. I wasn't speaking only for myself. I was carrying with me the voices of thousands of fellow conservatives like you who demand fair and accurate elections. We must begin with voter photo ID. Thank you for joining me in support of this cause.

    Semper Fi,

    Francis X. De Luca
     Colonel, USMCR Ret.
     President of Civitas

PS. This is what we've been waiting for. So let's not let the opportunity pass us by... let's make it count!

You can play your part in making real reform happen in North Carolina by adding your voice to the Civitas Institute's conservative voice. Please do that today by signing our urgent petition to the Legislature to clean up the State Board of Elections and require photo ID to vote!
