    Good Morning Everyone,

    Our office continues to monitor an approaching weather system that is forecasted to impact our area through the weekend. Impacts include gusty winds and heavy rains that have the potential to cause localized flash flooding. Forecast changes for Beaufort County have been highlighted below.

    Rain

    Today - Monday: Rain is expected to move into the area around 7pm tonight and continue through sunrise Monday morning. 1 to 1 1/2 inches of rain is forecasted during this time, with the heaviest rains occurring being 12 am and noon on Sunday.

    Winds

    Today: NE winds will begin to increase Saturday morning, becoming sustained between 10 and 15 mph with gusts of 15 to 20 mph.

    Sunday & Monday: Sustained NE winds between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts of 25 to 35 mph are expected through noon Sunday. Winds will begin to transition to the west Sunday afternoon, becoming sustained between 15 and 20 mph with gusts of 20 to 30 mph through sunrise Monday.

    We are monitoring the potential for a coastal low to bring localized heavy rainfall/flash flooding, gusty winds, and minor coastal flooding to the region Sunday morning into Monday.
