The Democrat Party was slammed online after a 26-year-old left-wing extremist showed up to the home of conservative Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh allegedly with the intent of murdering him.

Nicholas John Roske, 26, brought "a black tactical chest rig and tactical knife, a Glock 17 pistol with two magazines and ammunition, pepper spray, zip ties, a hammer, screwdriver, nail punch, crow bar, pistol light, duct tape, hiking boots with padding on the outside of the soles, and other items" with him to carry out his attack before he was apprehended, according to law enforcement.

The left-wing extremist was allegedly upset about the abortion decision leak and was angry Kavanaugh would side with the U.S. Constitution in protecting the "Second Amendment" rights of law-abiding Americans.

Federal law enforcement officials said that Roske "indicated that he had purchased the Glock pistol and other items for the purpose of breaking into the Justice's residence and killing the Justice as well as himself."

Roske was charged with attempt to murder a United States Supreme Court Justice.

Roske's alleged attempt to murder Kavanaugh comes after Democrat politicians have repeatedly called for or refused to condemn far-left activists showing up to the homes of Supreme Court justices following the leak of Roe v. Wade decision.

There was backlash online to the rhetoric that Democrats have used in recent days and how those words could lead to incitement. Many Democrats were silent about the attempt to murder the conservative justice.

Leftist statistician Nate Silver tweeted out a photograph of The New York Times' homepage that showed how the newspaper buried the massive news story, admitting that it was "sort of crazy that it's not being treated as a bigger story."

"The FBI was very clear that Brett Kavanaugh's would-be murderer was acting to advance standard Democratic Party/liberal dogma about Roe and gun control," leftist journalist Glenn Greenwald responded. "He said he'd find purpose in killing Kavanaugh to advance that agenda. So of course it's getting so little media attention."

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed the Biden administration for its past remarks about far-left activists showing up to the homes of the conservatives justices.

"The Biden White House encouraged a federal crime," Cruz said. "It's illegal to protest and picket outside the home of a judge with an intent to influence the judge's decision. Now a sick individual has been charged with attempted murder of Justice Kavanaugh."

    Other notable responses included:

  • Rich Lowry, National Review: "If you've followed the media coverage of January 6, you'd think the Kavanaugh assassination attempt has everything that would make it a major story-the violation of norms, the violent targeting of one of our institutions, lies spinning out of control. Except one little thing...."
  • David Asman, Fox News: "Pretty clear from this FBI affidavit that the nut job trying to kill Justice Kavanaugh was spurred on by Schumer-style rhetoric on Justices concerning abortion and gun control."
  • Stephen L. Miller, political commentator: "There's more of a direct connection with the guy who attempted to assassinate Kavanaugh and Democrat rhetoric around the leak than there is the Buffalo shooter & Fox News. Which is why it's being conveniently memory holed."
  • Brian Riedl, Manhattan Institute: "As someone who actually takes those norms seriously, the last 24 hours have been quite frustrating watching lefty politicians, reporters, and social media mobs laughingly violate so many of the very norms they relentlessly lecture conservatives about. Partisanship above all. Progressive extremists spent 8 years writing 'kill Bush' fan fiction, shot Rep. Scalise, caused trillions in 2020 riot damage, & tried to kill Kavanaugh - all with their mob LOLing the whole way. And tomorrow they'll resume lecturing the right on dangerous rhetoric and violence."
  • Kurt Schlichter, columnist: "After the Democrats and the regime media minions tacitly supported, by their silence, the attempted murder of Brett Kavanaugh, what do you think they would do to you if you were disarmed? Really? Do you think they would respect your life, much less your liberty? Buy guns."
