Brad Pitt filed new court documents last week in his ongoing legal suit against ex-wife Angelina Jolie, accusing the actress of intentionally causing damage to his business reputation by illegally off-loading her stake in their wine company without his consent or knowledge.

The pair in 2008 bought a controlling stake in Chateau Miraval, a French castle and wine brand, and remained partners after their divorce in 2016. Jolie allegedly illegally sold her shares to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler in 2021.

Pitt claims Jolie intentionally sold her stake behind his back to a "stranger with poisonous associations and intentions" to "inflict harm," while contributing "nothing to Miraval's success."

The filing explains that Jolie "planned to sell her interest in October to Tenute del Mondo, which is 'bent on taking control of Miraval' and is 'indirectly owned and controlled by Yuri Shefler, the Russian billionaire who controls the Stoli Group,'" People magazine reported.

"Jolie pursued and then consummated the purported sale in secret, purposely keeping Pitt in the dark, and knowingly violating Pitt's contractual rights," Pitt's legal team charged.

Pitt claims he and his ex-wife "had an agreement that neither would sell their business interests in Miraval without the other party's consent," Vanity Fair noted.

The report added that Jolie "was previously cleared to sell her share of Miraval in September, but Pitt claims that her business, Nouvel, owed his company, Mondo Bongo, the right of first refusal and this sale violates that."

Back in February, Pitt filed a lawsuit against Jolie over the alleged illegal off-loading of her shares to the Russian businessman.

"Press is reporting that Mr. Pitt has filed another lawsuit against Ms. Jolie," Jolie legal representative Robert Olson told Newsweek at the time. "She has not yet been served, and we are instead learning about the complaint from the media who appear to have been given access to the report to create a press story prior to Ms. Jolie even being served."

Miraval was a "passion" project for Pitt, earning a stellar reputation and developing the "world's most highly regarded producers of rosé wine" before Jolie's allegedly illegal moves, the court documents further accuse.

Pitt is asking for a trial by jury and damages "in an amount to be proven at trial" for Jolie's alleged actions, and seeking that the actress' stake in Miraval be declared "null and void."

The actor is suing over "breach of implied-in-fact contract; breach of quasi-contract pleaded in the alternative; breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing; abuse of rights under Article 6-1 of the Luxembourg Civil Code; tortious interference with contractual relations; tortious interference with prospective business relations; and constructive trust," People reported.
