Political conventions, a curse and a blessing | Eastern North Carolina Now

They're coming up soon and its a good way to participate in taking back our government

ENCNow

I feel like I am beating a dead horse.  Here it goes again.  Both political parties, Democrat and Republican, are not in the same universe as perfect.  As to which is better or worse depends on your view point.  For the Democrats, if you like what is going on with the  critical race theory teachings, the funneling of money and benefits from the cradle to the grave, the dumbed down education system, and the open borders, then you are likely just fine with the :Party.  The Republicans are split into two major groups, the Trumpers and the anti-Trumpers.  It is no secret what the Trumpers stand for, closed borders, less spending, replace critical infrastructure, stay out of extended wars, bring industry and jobs back to the USA.. The anti-Trumpers are a small minority of elitists and sophisticates who are offended that the Trumpers are setting the political pace.

Whether you are Democrat, Republican or one of the minor parties, this is the season to be heard within any organized party.  Now is the time for those who want to see change in their party to be heard. That is thru the party organization, whether Democrat or Republican.  Find your precinct, find your county party and attend meetings.  Very few attend in North Carolina. You will probably have no difficulty in getting elected as a delegate or an alternate to the county convention.  Precinct meetings and conventions only happen once each year.

Be aware that participating is not a country club event.  The favorite tactic of the bad boys is to hand out insults, to offend you so you will go away and allow them to continue their inept and constitutionally offensive practices.

You see, in a democracy (note the small “d”) every individual has the right to participate, to work for change and to fight for truth, justice and the American way.

If you have not participated before and do not know any of the esteemed political figures who run you local party, start by calling the local board of elections.  They deal with local political parties and should know who the local chairman is.  If that does not work, contact the state party by phone or the internet.  Listen carefully, someone may try to talk you into staying at home.

Nothing makes for honest elections and honest politicians more than public participation and awareness.  Secrecy and darkness allow the bad boys to have a free hand.  We have a lot of secrecy in government.  We need to open government up.  The participation of significant numbers of the public forces politicians to be more open and honest.

We are the way we are today because too many of us did not participate.  We have been told to let the elected officials run things.  Well they ran our government into the ground and created a society that favors corruption and anti-Christian ideals.

If you do not like the way any government is run, the only way to change it is to change the people running government.  That includes everyone from the precinct to the president. I advocate sending 90 percent of those now elected home in the November elections. Some have said:  “How do you know you will not get something worse?”   You don’t.  Can you do worse than what you now have?

Make a change, participate in the political process and vote the incumbents out.

The Beaufort County Republican precinct meetings and convention is on Saturday March 5th at Southern Acres near White Post.  Precinct meetings begin at  8:30 AM with the convention at 10:30. Come to the precinct meetings so you can be a delegate to the convention.  If you live in anther county, check your party out there.
