Pandemic of the Unvaccinated? 40% of New Covid Cases in NC Are Vaccinated | Eastern North Carolina Now

One data point in my colleague Jon Sanders’ latest NC Threat-Free Index jumped out at me: For the week ending January 1, 40% of Covid-19 cases in North Carolina were to people considered fully vaccinated.

One data point in my colleague Jon Sanders' latest NC Threat-Free Index jumped out at me: For the week ending January 1, 40% of Covid-19 cases in North Carolina were to people considered fully vaccinated.

The data comes from this DHHS report, page 12.

Have you heard Gov. Cooper, or new DHHS Secretary Kody Kinsley acknowledge this?

The data hardly fits the narrative we're being sold that we're in the middle of a "pandemic of the unvaccinated."

Indeed, as Sanders pointed out as far back as last September, our public health officials have been skewing the data to us for quite some time.

By that time, roughly 1 in 5 Covid cases in North Carolina were to those fully vaccinated.

If the recent trendlines continue, its likely that currently half or more Covid cases in North Carolina are to the fully vaccinated. It's not unrealistic to suspect national trends are similar.

Of course, some will counter by saying that vaccines aren't intended to prevent infection but rather help prevent more serious symptoms, but that is not what we were promised.

And what of the refusal by public health officials to discuss natural immunity, healthy lifestyle habits to boost immunity, or early treatment options?

It's no wonder why the public's trust in government health officials is falling.
