Saule Omarova, Democrat President Joe Biden's Marxist-friendly nominee to lead the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, said earlier this year that she wants oil and gas companies to go bankrupt, which comes as Americans face surging gas prices.

"Here what I'm thinking about is primarily coal industry and oil and gas industry. A lot of the smaller players in that industry are going to probably go bankrupt in short order, at least we want them to go bankrupt if we want to tackle climate change," Omarova says in the clip, unearthed by the American Accountability Foundation (AAF).

Omarova, who made the remarks back in March at the Jain Family Institute's 2021 Social Wealth Seminar (SWS) series, later said that the economic fallout and number of job losses that would ensue would be too much for the U.S., saying, "we cannot afford" it.

Those industries are responsible for MILLIONS of Americans' paychecks.

Top responses to the video included:

  • Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR): "This unhinged socialist wants millions of Americans who work in the energy industry to go bankrupt. And Joe Biden picked her as his top banking nominee."
  • Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX): "I don't need to fly to Glasgow to recognize crazy."
  • Steven Law, CEO Senate Leadership Fund: "Biden nominee eager to drive small operators out of business, and kick the workers they employ to the curb. If we don't stop them, Americans will pay dearly for their rigid ideology."

AAF Founder Thomas Jones told the Daily Caller News Foundation:

At the end of the day, these are people's lives, people are going to lose their jobs because she's going to support policies that are there to drive them out of work. ... It's people who are not going to be able to send their kids to college, who will not be able to make their mortgage payment because Saule Omarova has a classical Marxist view where she wants the government to run all sectors of the economy and part of that is implementing the Green New Deal. And you can only do that by destroying the oil and gas industry.

Omarova, who holds far-left views, refuses to turn over her thesis on Marxism while she was a student at Moscow State University.

    Fox Business reported:

Saule Omarova was born in the Soviet Union in what is now called Kazakhstan and graduated from Moscow State University in 1989. She has pointed to the USSR's practices as recently as 2019, when she tweeted about the gender pay gap, citing the USSR as a better model.

U.S. Senate Banking Committee Ranking Member Pat Toomey, R-Pa., last week asked Omarova to turn over a copy of her thesis - in both English and the original Russian - for review by the committee no later than Oct. 13. Her thesis, titled "Karl Marx's Economic Analysis and the Theory of Revolution in The Capital," remains an item of interest to some members on the committee. ...

Omarova had not complied with the request as of Thursday, Oct. 14, a spokesperson for Senate Banking Committee Republicans claimed.

Inarguably, the policies of the Democrats in congress and Joe Biden as the Executive is plunging the United States into a recession, if we are not already there; a recession that was completely avoidable. Will abrupt changes in policies occur in time?
Yes, the Democrats have a bold plan, yet to be revealed, to save us.
No, there will have to be a complete undoing of the damage done by these Democrats.
I can't do simple math, so how am I to understand the concept of basic economics.
