Democrat President Joe Biden claimed that reports from multiple mainstream newspapers that the administration could pay illegal aliens who were separated at the border under the previous administration up to $450,000 each to settle lawsuits were untrue.

"The U.S. Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services are considering payments that could amount to close to $1 million a family, though the final numbers could shift," The Wall Street Journal reported last week. "Most of the families that crossed the border illegally from Mexico to seek asylum in the U.S. included one parent and one child ... many families would likely get smaller payouts, depending on their circumstances."

The Washington Post and The New York Times both later confirmed the report from The Wall Street Journal.

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy pressed Biden on the issue during a press conference on Wednesday, noting that before Biden had left for an overseas trip, "there were reports that were surfacing that your administration is planning to pay illegal immigrants who are separated from their families at the border up to $450,000 each, possibly a million dollars per family."

"Do you think that that might incentivize more people to come over illegally?" Doocy asked.

"If you guys keep sending that garbage out? Yeah," Biden said. "But it's not true."

When asked if it was a "garbage report," Biden said, "Yeah."

"$450,000 per person?" Biden asked. "Is that what you're saying?"

"That was separated from a family member at the border under the last administration," Doocy said.

"That's not going to happen," Biden claimed.

PETER DOOCY, FOX NEWS REPORTER: Mr. President, as you were leaving for your overseas trip, there were reports that were surfacing that your administration is planning to pay illegal immigrants who are separated from their families at the border up to $450,000 each, possibly a million dollars per family. Do you think that that might incentivize more people to come over illegally?

JOE BIDEN, PRESIDENT: If you guys keep sending that garbage out? Yeah. But it's not true.

DOOCY: So this is a garbage report?

    BIDEN: Yeah.

    DOOCY: Okay. So-

BIDEN: $450,000 per person? Is that what you're saying?

DOOCY: That was separated from a family member at the border under the last administration.

BIDEN: That's not going to happen.

Inarguably, the policies of the Democrats in congress and Joe Biden as the Executive is plunging the United States into a recession, if we are not already there; a recession that was completely avoidable. Will abrupt changes in policies occur in time?
Yes, the Democrats have a bold plan, yet to be revealed, to save us.
No, there will have to be a complete undoing of the damage done by these Democrats.
I can't do simple math, so how am I to understand the concept of basic economics.
