In his runoff campaign for the GOP primary, Greg Murphy frequently repeated a line that Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows had taught him to never surrender his voting card to the establishment GOP leadership in the House. Now it looks like that is exactly what he did when he voted for two separate bills to strip Confederate names from military bases and remove Confederate monuments.

While a majority of House Republicans voted pro-history, Greg Murphy joined RINO House leader Kevin McCarhty in voting for the Democrats' anti-history position. In voting against his constituents back home, this created an appearance of Murphy brown nosing McCarthy like he wanted something out of McCarthy.

Now, according to someone who attended a recent Republican meeting, it has come out that Murphy is campaigning for a seat on the House Ways and Means Committee. Did his personal ambition to move ahead in seeking this appointment lead Murphy to betray his own constituents and vote against our history?
