Why Do Some House of Representatives fail to Represent their Constituents in Person? | Eastern North Carolina Now

Is it necessary to attempt to meet virtually; or, is it unpatriotic to not fully do their jobs as representatives to our federal government' Legislative Branch?

    Here today, June 23, 2020, in the Age of Coronavirus, the Committee on Energy and Commerce within the House of Representatives are having a public hearing on Covid, featuring Dr. Anthony S. Fauci and the Covid Task Force, and it was truly a laugh riot if you understand the abject irony, where members are given the right to attend in person to do the People's business, or not if they choose to dial it in from their remote presence.

    Those elected Representatives that choose not to be there in person, are meeting virtually, where far too often, the audio is completely distorted, and then there is the delay factor because of satellite feeds and other technological inadequacies. This is truly a poor excuse for a public meeting, especially when the Democratic Socialist representatives get real political, get real testy, and then every other word breaks up, indistinguishable from static noise. These indignant Democratic Socialists just come off, not only sounding like hypocrites which is this inarguable trademark, but abjectly stupid as well.

    My well considered opinion on governing is simple: When one gets elected at any and every level of governing, you show up and serve, especially in the People's House. If these representatives have the misfortune to get sick by doing their jobs, as all Americans must do their jobs and could get get sick, I wish them all a speedy recovery.

    Should these politicians have the very rare instance of succumbing to their illness, as all Americans could who do their jobs to keep this nation moving forward, please remember this one truth: Politicians can always be replaced.
