Drug Bust in Belhaven | Eastern North Carolina Now

Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Eric Lavon Jennette, of Belhaven and Torrence Lavon Satterthwaite, Belhaven.

   On June 1, 2012, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Eric Lavon Jennette, age 33, of 447 W Bay Street in Belhaven and Torrence Lavon Satterthwaite, age 27, of 444 George Street in Belhaven. Their arrests stemmed from members of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Team executing a search warrant at 444 Old County Road in Belhaven. Investigators in the Narcotics Unit had conducted several controlled purchases of crack-cocaine from Jennette at this residence. As a result of the search warrant Investigators seized 110 grams of crack-cocaine, 110 grams of powder cocaine, 40 grams of marijuana, crack-cocaine manufacturing materials, drug packaging materials, drug paraphernalia and $1,261 in cash.

    Eric Jennette and Torrence Satterthwaite were arrested and charged with Level II Trafficking in Cocaine, Conspire to Traffic in Cocaine, Manufacture Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Maintaining a Dwelling to facilitate Drug Activity and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jennette and Sattertwhaite were confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under $100,000 secured bonds.
