McCabe off the Hook With DOJ, LA Mayor Says He Is the ‘Older, Straighter’ Mayor Pete | Eastern North Carolina Now

Publisher's note: This post appears here courtesy of the LifeZette, and written by David Kamioner.

The Trump Department of Justice will not pursue criminal charges against disgraced former FBI Acting Director Andrew McCabe.

The poster boy for conflict of interest and failed coup-leading will get a pass. Apparently, in this instance, so will the concept of justice.

    Peter principle?

Los Angeles Democrat Mayor Eric Garcetti referred to himself as an "older, straighter Pete" during a speech on Thursday. Notice he did not say "straight Pete," but "straighter Pete." Hmmm...

Not sure his experience with turning his city into an open toilet for homeless people or running with every PC fad that comes his way is high qualification for the Oval Office. Plus, as California is properly regarded as an almost Third World state, the Democrat bastion would turn off swing voters.

Garcetti toyed with the idea of a presidential run last year but never pulled the trigger. He would have joined DeBlasio and some little known FL mayor as early losers in that contest. Two mayors are left, Buttigieg and Bloomberg. Both have a shot.

Florida contractor chief pulled in close to $5 million from taxpayers

Tiffany Carr, former CEO of a firm hired by the state of Florida to run an anti-domestic violence agency, made an annual salary of more than $700,000 and tapped taxpayers for almost $5 million in paid time off over a four year timeline.

Yup, several million in paid time off.

Carr headed the firm for twenty years. She left the job for "health" reasons in July of 2018 after newspapers began to get wise to her gravy train. Current GOP Governor Ron DeSantis became governor in January of 2019.

DeSantis, whose administration discovered the large payouts, wants an investigation of Carr's sweet time off deal, along with similar deals for others in her firm.

Jim Carville calls Bernie Sanders "a communist."

After Bernie Sanders called him a "hack," on CNN, Carville struck back with a line Dems are not supposed to utter about Democrat front runners, "At least I'm not a communist."

    Yes, he went there.

Carville also defended himself, "Last night on CNN, Bernie Sanders called me a political hack. That's exactly who the f- I am! I am a political hack! I am not an ideologue. I am not a purist. He thinks it's a pejorative. I kind of like it! At least I'm not a communist."

As a former political hack myself, turned journo hack, I say: Hacks of the world unite! We have nothing to lose but our alimony payments and bar tabs!
