Far Left Candidates File for U.S. Senate

Press Release:

Raleigh, NC     One filed yesterday, another today, and they both have something in common: they're both out of touch with North Carolina. Taking a break from making calls in his windowless basement, Cal Cunningham announced his candidacy with only about a dozen supporters behind him. State Sen. Erica Smith had even less than that and still leads Cunningham in the latest poll.

"It's abundantly clear that North Carolinians have no appetite for the far-left policies embodied by both U.S. Senate candidates," stated NCGOP spokeswoman Sasha Duncan. "By supporting impeachment, sanctuary city policies, or Medicare For All, both have shown they are completely out of step with the voters of our state. The people of North Carolina deserve a Senator who will stand up for them instead of the far-left voices of an extreme minority."
