Pirates to Hold Open Basketball Practice

    GREENVILLE, N.C.     The East Carolina men's basketball team will hold an open practice on Thursday, Oct. 10 inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum to allow fans to get a first-look at the 2019-20 team.

    The practice will begin at 4:30 p.m. and go through 6:30 p.m.

    This year's team features 11 scholarship newcomers, including seven junior college transfers and four freshmen, along with a pair of returnees: senior Seth LeDay and sophomore Jayden Gardner. ECU will open the season on Nov. 5 at home against VMI.

    The ECU women's basketball team, which opens its season Nov. 6 at home versus Middle Tennessee State, will also hold an open practice on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Season tickets for the Pirates' ladies program are also on sale beginning at $45.
