Voter Confusion Due to Union County Posting Inaccurate Voting Information

Press Release:

Raleigh, NC     North Carolina GOP Executive Director Jonathan Sink released the following statement:

"For at least six weeks and two hours of voting this morning, the Union County Board of Elections failed to update the address for Precinct 30 in its polling district list on its website. It also failed to take meaningful steps at the old site to direct voters to the correct location despite multiple requests from the Party and the Bishop campaign for personnel and visible signage. As a result of the Board's failure to timely fix this problem, dozens of voters went to the wrong voting location with insufficient direction to the new one. The Party and the Bishop campaign appreciate the efforts of volunteers who have stood at the old precinct location to direct voters to the new location. With the race as close as it is, we are exploring all legal options available to us."
