Statement of Amy Kremer, President
Today, Dr. Greg Murphy, endorsed by Women for Trump, won a huge victory over his opponent who was heavily supported by establishment forces and outside money. In response, Amy Kremer, President of Women for Trump - who has been on the ground for months in district - issued the following statement:
"In the age of the #MeToo movement, women across America have more of a voice now than ever before. Dr. Greg Murphy's win in NC-03 showed women flexing their brain power to vote solely on policy above voting with their anatomy. The people of North Carolina's third district, both men AND women, voted for the principled conservative candidate who will represent their values in DC and who will support The President and the America First Agenda.
"Moving forward, it is loud and clear that women will vote for the the best candidate, instead of using gender as a qualifier. Expecting women to vote based on body parts further objectifies women - just because you are a woman doesn't mean you represent ALL women. We are proud to be part of the grassroots coalition that defeated the DC special interest groups and their money and thrilled that Dr. Greg Murphy will be going to Washington to represent everyone in North Carolina's 3rd district, which includes men and women of all different races, religions and socioeconomic backgrounds."
