On Friday, a feminist tried to steal crosses from a pro-life display organized by Students for Life at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, before police officers stepped in.

The unidentified female abortion activist (it's unclear if she is a student), is seen picking up pink crosses in a display known as the Cemetery of the Innocents; the crosses commemorate the lives of babies killed by abortion.

"The pink crosses," notes the Students for Life website, "are part of the spring #PlannedParenthoodTruth Tour on campus, where Students for Life groups are exposing the truth about Planned Parenthood's poor track record on helping women."

"Students for Life set up the 1,000 crosses around 9 AM, with permission from the school, on the Diag on campus and throughout the day pro-abortion activists, presumably students although that is unclear, kept pulling crosses out of the ground, placing them in trash bags, or putting them on top of trash cans," reported the pro-life organization on Friday.

Kaylena Wiederhold, Students for Life's Michigan regional coordinator, confronted the activists vandalizing the display on an area of campus the students responsibly obtained a permit for.

"Is there a reason why you're doing this?" she asked the purple-haired feminist holding a white garbage bag full of their crosses.

"We disagree with it," the abortion activist answered.

"Okay, but this isn't your property," responded Wiederhold.

"We know that having a conversation isn't going to work," claimed the vandal.

Wiederhold, and a male pro-life student accompanying her, explained to the woman that the crosses are their property and noted that they obtained a permit for the location prior to the demonstration.

"Can you please put it down?" Wiederhold asked her. "Will you please give me it back?"

When police officers who were manning a nearby Climate Change protest showed up, the feminist changed her tune, claiming she was merely "cleaning up" "garbage" on campus.

"We were just cleaning up this garbage on the school campus," she quickly offered, "but we've realized that apparently this is someone's property. And you're telling us to leave it, I'm assuming?"

"Correct," responded one of the uniformed cops. And they do have a permit, like she explained to you."

Wiederhold asked the woman to put the crosses back the way she found them, but the feminist refused, claiming she did not know where to put them.

"I'm not really sure the way I found them, to be honest," she insisted. "You guys laid them out," she added, again admitting that she knew the crosses weren't merely "garbage" as she claimed to the officers.

"Free-speech on college campuses continues to be an issue," noted Wiederhold, reports Students for Life. "The abortion activists on campus should be ashamed of themselves for trying to disrupt a peaceful memorial to not only babies harmed by abortion, but also women, men, and families harmed by abortion."

"We hope the University of Michigan will come out strongly in defense of free-speech on campus," she added.
