President Donald J. Trump Hits the Mark in his Second State of the Union Address | Eastern North Carolina Now

    President Donald J. Trump found the proper tone in his first sentence in his second State of the Union Address on February 5, 2019, delayed by a week by Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her party's political purposes, and then he drove home the message of United States exceptionalism, and governing by unity of purpose.

    Speaking against the backdrop of a respectful Vice President Mike Pence, and a belligerent, hyperactive Speaker Nancy Pelosi, President Trump spoke to a roaring crowd of patriots, and some not so patriotic, who were sent to Congress of the Untied States to represent their constituents' not so patriotic interests. Stunningly, there was, in the well of congress's House of Representatives, even a crowd of Democratic Socialist women dressed all in white, like "Hand Maiden Tale" Women, dour-faced and sitting on their hands, waiting patiently to be guided since they could not muster the ability to do so on their own.

    These women, unified in position of seating and dress, sat there like stones, searching for guidance to be directed as to how to move or be swayed by someone. Perhaps it was the Speaker, since she was dressed in white solidarity towards whatever was their special cause, while frantically perusing large stiff paper boards for some direction herself. From the Speaker to The Ellen Jamesians like gaggle of womanhood, they, she (Speaker Pelosi) appeared utterly lost in the moments of this event, and abjectly bizarre overall scope.

    By circumstance of strange events, three years ago, if anyone would have told me that America would need the stable, wise hand of Donald Trump on the tiller of our Republic's proverbial ship, I would have thought them nuts. Our dear Lord does do His work in mysterious ways, and Donald J. Trump may well be his perfect imperfect vessel.

    This President certainly drove that point home during last night's address.
