Are Elected Democrats Concerned About the Sovereignty of our Nation? | Eastern North Carolina Now

It is proven that core Democrats /Socialists do not care about border security, national defense and doing what is right; but, they do love government and spending other people's money, so they can well own shutting down the government, when they continually endeavor to make our citizens far less safe.

I can't believe (Actually, I do very much believe it) I am watching the Democrats shutting down the government a second time, since the election of Donald J. Trump, with their arguing point that they must politically "Resist" this President, regardless of the tangible damage committed to this nation.

We see that at ever turn: Elected congressional Democrats, who have voted for a wall and border security in the recent past, now continually advocate for "Open Borders" and an open abdication for the rule of law at every possible political point.

Like it or not, this President knows his base of patriotic voters, and will follow their lead to Secure our Borders, and protect our people at home and abroad, just as passionately as the Democrat base advocates that their Liberal politicians create Open Borders to allow more supposed future voters beginning as illegal immigrants; abdication of national defense whenever possible in hopes of acceptance within the political trappings of the New World Order; and their complete defense and anxious acceptance of the accelerated growth of Socialism.

Never in the history of this Constitutional Republican have two groups of base voters been more different.

Democrats can blame President Donald J. Trump all that wish, but, if it was not this President, it would be another one, if elected (and that might be a big "if"), that would stand up for the patriots that still inhabit this nation.

It is my prayer that President Trump will not back down and stand for those patriots that know that securing our borders in a necessity for the continued sovereignty of this nation.

Excellent.

I had one lay a cussing on me on FB about this Wall thing, when I asked her to reconsider the math when she said that the 5 billion to start the Wall would cover everyone's health insurance.

One last inappropriate observation of the day.

“How do you pi$$ off a Democrat?”

“You don’t have to, they already are pretty pi$$ed off!!!!”

Good stuff Bobby Tony, preserved for perpetuity here on BCN. I especially liked the anonymous rendition of the President with "Cry'n' Chuckie".

I remember that primary, and Reagan was a special candidate and a special President. Ed Rollins makes stellar appearances still on FOX and is still sharp and crisp in his analysis.

For those who may misinterpret my position, the Republicans have tried the go along get along path when dealing with the democrats. The results were a long string of defeated candidates like Romney, McCain, Bush #41, Ford, Dole. What I would like to see is a likable resolute candidate who knew how to take a punch but also knew how to appeal to the basic common sense of the American People. Perhaps a Ronald Reagan who left it up to his staff like Edward Rollins to do the inside fighting.

"Rollins favored a "guerrilla campaign" for the nomination, "conserving our money and picking our shots carefully while Bush and [Senator Robert J.] Dole beat the hell out of each other early on," then prevailing in the delegate-rich, winner-take-all primary in California. "I lost the argument ... Kemp, the third choice of party faithful in all the polls, would wage a front-runner, incumbent-style campaign." Kemp ultimately won no primaries."

Here is an anonymous report of the conversation between President Trump and Senator Chuck Schumer. It qualifies as news because it is anonymous.

Schumer: "Don why can't you just find another word instead of WALL!"

Trump: "I like the word WALL, because it pisses off just the right people!"

Bob Dunning, my seventh grade teacher: "Now I want you boys to shake hands and stop this stupid bickering!"

I made up the part about Bob Dunning, but it seems they are arguing more about semantics than policy to me. Search "Bob Dunning" using the BCN search feature.

Regarding the Left's regards for this President, we can sum it up in three words: "RESIST!!" ... "RUSSIA!!!" ... "RACIST!!!!"

uilding a wall is only part of the solution.

Illegal Immigration costs our nation, at all levels of government, from 15 to 25 billion per year.

This does not include the costs of health care that go unpaid and spread between everyone.

I am a Libertarian / Conservative when graded out by the UNC School of Government.

The federal government does not owe us everything; it owes us stability, sovereignty in perpetuity, safety and defense of our borders.

Wow, Bobby Tony. I'm definitely in the wrong line of work.

I revised my comment to include the actual pay days from the Federal Calendar. See picture add below.

Bobby Tony, you always see the pragmatic truth in a thing to the point of funny.

Few jobs are as lucrative as Federal jobs. If one could fire 25% of nonmilitary jobs, that would be a good fiscal start.

Is it just me or did they not used to call a day off with pay a vacation?  I see where December 25, 2018 is also a Federal Holiday.  I suspect a good many of the federal employees are already taking what they laughingly call leave around the Christmas holiday. Almost all will receive retroactive pay when this farce is over. Will they cancel the office parties as well.

“Vacation and Sick Leave for Federal Employees:
All full time employees receive 10 paid holidays, 13 days of vacation for the first three years service, 20 days of vacation with three to 15 years of service, and 26 days after 15 years. Additionally, 13 sick days are accrued each year regardless of length of service and employees can carry over any sick leave accumulation to the next year. Many federal employees accrue sick leave balances of a year or more during their career. The site administrator had 2100 hours of sick leave, just over one year, accumulated when he retired in 2005. He was able to exchange his sick leave balance for an increase in his annuity payment. Military time counts toward benefits. If you have three years of military service you begin with four weeks of paid vacation. Military service time counts toward civil service retirement. Below you will find a list of all 2016 federal holidays and the days that they fall on.” federaljobs.net/benefits.htm

Just for Giggles and Grins, I checked the GSA website for the Federal Government pay dates. It appears that no one will be working without a pay check until December 28, 2018 having already been paid last on December 19. So we seem to be arguing about a point without a distinction until December 28. See Circle dates below for actual Check Dates. I wonder what the odds are of a solution being reached before the next pay day on December28?

I don't know which bothers me most, the fact that the simpletons in Washington can't seem to come to an agreement or the fact that our government is being run by people who can't afford to miss just one pay check.

Merry Christmas to one and all. Below is the pay dates direct from the GSA pay schedule which is on the government site.
