Kevin Hart lost his dream job as Oscar host, we're told, because he didn't follow the Academy's demand to apologize for his insensitive comments about homosexuality.

    That's balderdash.

Had Hart offered up a full-throated mea culpa the Social Justice crowd would have demanded his professional scalp all the same. Just ask Roseanne Barr and Megyn Kelly, two superstars whose apologies couldn't save their respective gigs.

Did the same fate befall Rachel Butera?

The veteran voice-over artist, who recently appeared as Sarah Huckabee Sanders in the anti-Trump sitcom "Murphy Brown," landed a gig voicing General Leia Organa in the animated series "Star Wars Resistance" earlier this year.

That was before she shared a video on social media mocking Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her 30-plus years ago with very little evidence to back up the claim. Butera imitated Ford's high-pitched voice and fumbled delivery in the satirical clip.

"I just have this kind of a voice, like a baby, even though I'm a doctor and I'm on this media circus, political stage, and I have kids myself, that I don't know why I speak with vocal fry ... I can't believe this is my voice, can you??? Dr. Christine Blasey-Vocal Fry-Ford," Butera said as the eponymous Kavanaugh accuser.

The usual suspects cried foul, and Butera quickly served up an apology, which included the mandatory "Believe All Women" mantra.

"I was by no means mocking a rape victim I am 100% on Christine Blasy Ford's side! I am just a vocal impressionist and decided to imitate her voice but it was a mistake. I apologize and a Ibelieve ALl women [sic]," she wrote in a since deleted tweet. "I am seriously sorry I honestly didn't think this would offend anyone I just thought I was imitating the voice," she said in a statement.

As apologies go, this one had zero percent equivocation. That may not have been enough, though.

ComicBook.com notes the latest "Star Wars Resistance" episode featured Carolyn Hennesy voicing the character in question.

    What happened?

We can't find out from Butera's Twitter feed. She deleted her account following the backlash to her Ford video.

It's not hard to speculate Butera's parody video crushed her latest gig. The "Star Wars" universe now embraces the Woke Side - witness the virtue signaling throughout "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" as well as the robotic caterwauling of K2SO in "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."

The animated show airs on The Disney Channel, part of the giant Disney company which now owns the "Star Wars" franchise.

Butera has 13 screen credits for 2018 alone. "Star Wars Resistance" isn't among them at IMDB.com.

Meanwhile, Oscar winner Matt Damon famously portrayed Kavanaugh as an angry, drunken cad who likely committed the assault in question on "Saturday Night Live." He didn't suffer a single career repercussion from the sketch.

In fact, it might have undid the damage he did late last year when he tried to say the sexual assault allegations against Harvey Weinstein were more severe that the groping incidents allegedly committed by Sen. Al Franken.

His Hollywood peers told him to pipe down after that incident. He did as told ... until that sketch.

It seems Butera simply chose the "wrong" person to mock in the high-profile confirmation case, and it cost her a Comic-Con friendly gig.

I heard the gig, and it was spot on.

With all the Liberals and Socialists riding herd of Free Speech right now, you may never her it again.

This short piece may turn out to be the "Amos and Andy" of modern times.
