    Mark Meckler, president and founder of the Convention of States project, discusses prospects for the N.C. General Assembly to approve a resolution requesting a state-initiated constitutional convention. Meckler offered these comments during an interview for Carolina Journal Radio.

    Convention supporters will rally 10:30 a.m. Tuesday near the state Legislative Building. Part of the rally will include opportunities to see and interact with Liberty the llama.

    As N.C. lawmakers prepare to consider potential state constitutional amendments for the November ballot, Wake Forest political scientist John Dinan probes the history of state constitutional amendments across the country. Dinan tells that history in the book State Constitutional Politics. He shared details of his research Monday with the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society.
