This Could be the End of any Discussion of Which Presidential Candidate Won the Popular Vote | Eastern North Carolina Now

Most people have no idea how we elect our presidents, often pointing toward the popular vote as somehow more meaningful than the Electoral College. What is occurring now in the Sanctuary state of California is exactly why we have the Electoral College than the whim of the popular vote:

The Sanctuary state of California gives Illegal Immigrants drivers' licenses, no questions asked, Now the state of California is directing their DMV to register everyone with drivers' license to register to vote; we also assume with no questions asked, which portends the possibility that the state of California could pick a presidential candidate, fully constitutionally appropriate as to whomever the state elects in the Electoral College; however, that candidate could either win or lose the national election, and would never win the popular vote ... ever. The Republican presidential candidate, should he or she win from that point forward, would almost always win the popular vote, whether they win or lose the Electoral College.

Hmmmm ... Why you might ask?

If the state of California allows illegal immigrants to vote in the election of president, their entire popular vote would be considered null and void as a measure of the people's intent, but, in a U.S. Constitutional sense, they could still elect whomever they wish to be president by the California wing of the Electoral College.

Could a non corrupt (eight years of corruption under Obama, with many still not fired as of now) DOJ force the state of California to honor United States election law, or would the 10th Amendment kick in, and supercede any U.S. election law that would demand all voters be American citizens?

It is an interesting conundrum for Sanctuary loving Californians. I actually don't think it would affect the rest of us, just the fact that Liberals /Socialists could no longer pout: "Yeah, but we won the popular vote."

It might actually be worth the apparent electoral treason to not hear some pathetic Liberal /Socialist foaming at the mouth that "we won the popular vote, so the Republican is illegitimate". Remarkably, that probably would also be the wrong headed position of the Democrat Media /Fake News should this weird situation ever evolve to fruition.

Maybe, we could get a discussion started here, and feel free to speak from the position of Trump Derangement Syndrome or against it, or just laugh at those that suffer from; I don't really care.

Now that the Russia Collusion scandal has most completely boomeranged on core Democrats, the Democrat Media, and the Deep State, who have promoted this scandal for over one year: Should congress and Jeff Sessions's DOJ investigate the DNC, the Clintons, and, notably, the FBI /Obama DOJ with the same fervor that they have hounded all things connected to Candidate, then President Donald Trump?
Yes, it is a necessity that we discover all that is corrupt, and stains the government of this land.
No, investigate only everything connected to Donald Trump, as a candidate and then president.
I generally don't pay attention to most things except what is normally pop culture.
