On Wednesday, news broke in Kentucky that Republican State Rep. Dan Johnson, who authorities were investigating over allegations of sexual misconduct, committed suicide.

Bullitt County Sheriff Donnie Tinnell confirmed that a gun was recovered at the bridge in the City of Mt. Washington where Johnson ended his life, WDRB reported.

According to a reporter with the local news outlet, Johnson posted the following suicide note on his Facebook page on Wednesday around 5 p.m.:

  • The accusations from NPR are false GOD and only GOD knows the truth, nothing is the way they make it out to be. AMERICA will not survive this type of judge and jury fake news . Conservatives take a stand. I LOVE GOD and I LOVE MY WIFE, who is the best WIFE in the world,My Love Forever ! IT Has Won This Life . BUT HEAVEN IS MY HOME. "PLEASE LISTEN CLOSELY, Only Three things I ask of you to do,if you love me is (1)blame no person,Satan is the accuser, so blame the Devil himself. (2) Forgive and Love everyone especially yourself .(3)most importantly LOVE GOD. P.S. I LOVE MY FRIENDS YOU ARE FAMILY ! GOD LOVES ALL PEOPLE NO MATTER WHAT !

WDRB noted that Johnson was under investigation for allegedly kissing and fondling a 17-year-old girl in 2012 when she was staying in a living area of a church that Johnson served as a pastor. The girl, now 21, told investigators that Johnson "had been drinking a lot" when the incident allegedly happened.

Authorities had not filed criminal charges against Johnson who vehemently denied the allegations made by the girl during a press conference on Tuesday.

"This allegation concerning this lady, this young girl, absolutely has no merit, these are unfounded accusations, totally," Johnson said, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.

Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin tweeted his condolences Wednesday night after hearing about the incident.

Stan is correct, this guy was somewhat unstable long before the accusations.. I tried to find some more information on the suicide of Rep Johnson. Below is a link that might add some light beyond just the accusation.

One can read the erratic diction within his last words on this earth, and one can tell that his mental problems went far beyond the accusation by a 17 year old church member, the pastor allegedly sexually harassed.
