Sail into PirateFest with All-You-Can-Ride Wristbands

Press Release:

GREENVILLE, N.C.     Friday night at PirateFest marks the opening night of the festival's Carnival, which will take over all of Five Points Plaza and will feature a Ferris wheel, games, food and more.

From 5-9 p.m. on Friday, April 7th only, attendees can take advantage of an all-you-can-ride $20 wristband at the Carnival. Festival-goers may purchase a $20 wristband at the carnival and ride to their heart's content! Bring family, friends, and colleagues for a night of fun and games to get the full PirateFest experience starting Friday night and leading into our full-day festival on Saturday.

Our rides include Scat, a 360-degree tipsy-turvy, sit-in explosion of fun. The Fun Slide is a 3-slide radius of fun for kids of all ages! The Super Spinner is the tipsy-teacup copycat with a small-town twist. Our Wind Jammer is jam-packed with fun for ride-a-longs with the whole family!

The Carousel ride brings the classic Carnival experience for all festival-goers to enjoy. Our rock climbing wall is 25 feet tall and climbers who reach the top will win Carnival prizes! The Ferris Wheel is the perfect opportunity to face your fear of heights or sweep a loved one off their feet and soar into the air for a ride like no other.

Ahoy, matey! Don't forget our Carnival games with prizes for festival-goers of all ages along with food and adult beverages for sale. Individual ride tickets will also be available for purchase.

Pirate grub and grog will line Evans Street, with music on the Roses Main Stage at the corner of Evans and 4th Streets by Purple Masquerade, the Prince Tribute band. Brush up on your pirate lingo for a night of piratical tomfoolery!

The festival continues Saturday, April 8, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with food, art, and non-profit vendors, live mermaids, a pirate encampment, grog gardens, a carnival and live music all day long. The free concert at the Town Common from Rusted Root at 5 p.m. will be our festival finale.

PirateFest is brought to you by Minges Bottling Group and organized by Uptown Greenville and Emerge. For a full list of PirateFest 2017 performances and activities, visit www.piratefestnc.com.
