Where is James Carville when they really need him?
This is what you get when you give a horny guy a smart phone. You get a Weiner Eruption.
I am doing my Monday morning duty and watching MSNBC Joe. Mika had a rare revelation that they may have a flawed candidate also. Then they had several people on who gushed over how fast the Clinton campaign pivoted and attacked Comey to divert attention from the content. We are back to the carnival again. My post about THE DONALD last year has now expanded to the Dem's as well. Get the popcorn. Unfortunately, it is not so funny when you consider the consequences.
Huma Abedin is not a bimbo but she just has poor taste in men and candidates.
When most of the news about your campaign is bad, there is only one alternative. That is to go back to those tried and true ways of the 1990's where the only problem were a few trailer queens to kick around. This time it is the FBI and James Comey.
One of the current jokes going around is that the Clintons announced that they were sorry to hear about James Comey's impending suicide. He was such a good public servant. Well that is until just a few days ago when he became a despondent about his job and had lost respect for the law or any other justice department tradition.
I'll bet the only one glad about the current situation in the Clinton camp is good ole Bubba Bill. I suspect he is in the sidelines cheering and laughing Anthony Weiner on. Anything that deflect from Bill's dalliances is a good thing.
I think the Clintons have channeled the "Bimbo Eruption Committee" and re cast it as the "Weiner Eruption Committee." I am just waiting for the "I did not have relations with that Huma Mahmood Abedin computer." I can say that they are at least covering it because they must set up a after election excuse should their candidate lose. Meanwhile, The Affordable Care act gets another pass from media attention.
I have tried to resist the obvious parallel about what you get when you drag a few hundred millions dollars around a power hungry couple like the Clinton family. There is another over used cliche that I will include since I am on a roll. You can take the boy out of Arkansas but you can't take the boar (as in Razorback) out of the boy.
I was never a fan of wieners but I just love Varsity Hot Dogs with chili on top. (For the North Carolina people who have never been to Atlanta that is the world's biggest drive in just next to the Georgia Tech campus). There used to be a tradition that every presidential candidate had to eat a Hot Dog at the Varsity during the campaign. But to the best of my knowledge neither Hillary or Trump have been here this year. That may be why this election campaign has been so screwed up.
Me, well I am just standing around waiting for the next eruption to occur. And in the words of the Varsity Car Hops for fifty years.

In my lifetime, I would love to see a Clinton Impeached ... this nation needs to see a Clinton Impeached. |

I am afraid that no matter who wins there will be investigations on top of investigations. Impeachment will serve no useful purpose except to stir the stink pot. I would rather the republicans spend the next two years trying solve their identity crisis. The division between conservatives and moderates serves no one but the democrats. Republicans tend to eat their own. I just wish the Libertarian party could get their act together and find a decent candidate and I could say good bye to both Dem & Rep for good.
Meanwhile the bubble brewing in the stock market and economy will explode regardless of who is in charge. Book report to follow on David Stockman's book "Trumped." He is an equal opportunity basher of both parties when it comes to economical theory. |

If one believes that L. Hillary has a clear road ahead of her, whether she wins the election or not, they will probably get their feelings hurt down that road.
Next time you look at L. Hillary, just imagine a sinking ship. I'm thinking of the Titanic right now. I never liked the theme from the film "Titanic", you know, the one sung by Celine Dion, but I am starting to think it has a certain ring to it. |

I have been very reluctant to pile on James Comey. The main reason is that I have a friend who is retired from the FBI and he says Comey is an upstanding guy and that the culture in the FBI is to keep personal politics out of the job.
Another reason is that I have carefully followed the actual statements and testimony of James Comey. He has gone to great lengths to only address the facts. Finally, I make it a habit to assume that someone is adhering to the proper procedures until it is proved otherwise. Now we are deep in the weeds about a conspiracy that Comey will announce that after a through investigation they have found nothing improper and Clinton did not commit any crimes. Once again the tide will shift to the Republicans saying Comey is a dirtbag. At some point there will have to be a come to Jesus meeting with Hillary. In 1974 Three leading Capitol Hill Republicans - Senate Minority Leader Hugh Scott of Pennsylvania, Barry Goldwater of Arizona and House Minority Leader John Rhodes of Arizona - told embattled President Richard Nixon he did not have the support to survive impeachment proceedings. Are there any principled Democrats around now? I found a partial clip of Mika from this morning show that prompted this article above. It pains her to admit this but even Mika has to face what at best is poor judgement and at worse is criminal.
