TMc: Amateur Gun Review of Bersa Thunder .380 | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Bersa Thunder Video link:

I have a carry permit and am only interested in small concealed carry semi-automatic pistols. Also I want pocket carry without a holster and think only about short distance encounters.

As a rank amateur my advice is based on YouTube and a few visits to the gun range and lectures from a retired policeman. Free advice is worth every penny you pay.

So let's begin with my experience that revolvers are too thick and are therefore bedside protection. Heavy semi-autos will pull your pants down.

The Bersa Thunder and Thunder CC are too large for my pocket but if I buy a belt holster and think I am fast enough to raise my shirt and draw before an experienced criminal can aim, I will rethink. In the meantime this is a great car carry and the accuracy will help at long distance.

Conclusion: For me, the Bersa is slightly above my requirements but the .380 caliber is okay. I will review the Walter P22.

Now here is how to merge both style and substance. As you know, I'm am slightly to the right on matters of importance.

I have never had a concealed carry permit, but I always was partial to the shoulder holster that 007 used for his trusty Beretta. Sometimes Style over substance is the best alternative. Fortunately, M required Bond, James Bond, to switch from his Beretta to the 7.65 PPK, and the rest as they say is history.
