It didn't work. In spite of all the threats from Team Obama the Democrat-controlled Senate rejected Obama's "piece" of his Jobs Bill stimulus that was proposed to provide for firemen, policemen and teachers. For one year mind you, but Vice President Biden demagogued the issue by saying that if the bill did not pass that murders and rapes would increase.

We have come to expect Biden to make stupid statements, but this one goes beyond that. He was backed up by the White House even after it because clear he had made such a stupid comment. And when given an opportunity to walk it back, he attacked the reporter that asked him if he really meant to suggest that the additional money would prevent rapes and murders.

The rejoinder from Team Obama was that: More money would keep more cops on the beat and more cops would reduce crime. That logic is just like the woman who turned down a piece of chocolate cake for dessert and thought that she would lose weight by doing so. Never mind "intervening variable" such as how many calories she ate at that meal when she declined the cake.

Rush Limbaugh offered an even better illustration of the absurdity of Biden's logic when he announced on his radio program that he would like for rapists and murders to call in and tell him whether the passage or defeat of the $35 billion bill would incentivize them to commit more rapes if the bill failed or less rapes if it passed. None called, of course; but Rush made his point.

A few more cops will neither cause crime increase or decrease. Other things will make much more difference.

Obama spokesperson elaborated in Biden's defense that keeping the additional firemen the bill would pay for would ....well, we're not sure what he said. He implied that the additional firemen would save lives and property. But what he failed to say was that what will put more lives and property at risk was not the number of firemen at the station, but rather how many fires there were. Fortunately, he recognized that he could not sensibly make the argument that more firemen would result in fewer fires.

The problem here is not rapes, murders and fires. The problem is the foolishness that passes for judgment by these people who are running the Obama White House.

This is the same group that believes that if the government borrows money from China to fund "job creation" that they have stimulated the economy. They do not understand that for every dollar the government takes out of the private economy is a dollars less the private sector will spend on jobs. Thus, government jobs don't create ANY jobs. They kill jobs in direct proportion that they depress productivity in the private economy.

Had the Senate approved the $35 billion bill and it ultimately became law, that would have meant that either the Federal government would have to fund those jobs from taxes it took out of the economy or it would have had to borrow the money, thereby decreasing the value of the dollar and causing prices to be higher as a result.

The simple fact that the Vice President, the Presidential Spokesperson and whomever else did not blow the whistle on Biden's Blunder don't understand the lunacy of his statement shows what the real problem is here. These people don't know what they are doing. Is it any wonder the economy is in the pits and not getting any better no matter what they do.

Folks, we simply can't afford four more years of this lunacy. Our country will be so far gone that we'll never be able to recover from the damage such idiots are causing.

It turns out that Biden was lying all along anyway. Rapes and murders have not gone up (in Flint, Michigan) as he claimed, they have actually gone down according to FBI crime stats. But we're sure that doesn't make much difference to Blabbering Joe. Click here to review FactCheck.org's take on the issue.
