Pursuing education innovation through digital learning



    The basic structure of American public education hasn't changed much in the past 130 years, despite the fact that people across the political spectrum value education.

    Catherine Truitt, senior education adviser to N.C. Gov. Pat McCrory, makes that point while touting the potential benefits of moving public schools from a traditional instruction model to one based on "digital-age learning." Truitt discussed innovation and digital learning Monday with the John Locke Foundation's Shaftesbury Society.
