For Immediate Release

Hello to all who are interested in the programs offered at Goose Creek State Park. We are back - one step/one program at a time! For this month, I will post each one as it comes up. Hopefully you will receive a complete listing for November sometime before October is over.

Please note that Flatty Creek, Ivey Gut, and a portion of Goose Creek trails are closed. At this time, campgrounds are not open at all.

So, bring a child out to this, the first program since Hurricane Irene hit in August!

    Sunday, October 9, 2011       Build a Feeder       3 p.m.

As the weather gets colder, you can help provide food for your furry and feathered friends. Join a ranger to learn about what these critters like to eat, and build your very own squirrel and bird feeder! This program is for ages 6 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please call the park office at (252) 923-2191 to register for this forty-five minute program.
