    GREENVILLE, NC     Take a tour around Eastern North Carolina and visit the farms of Uptown Greenville Umbrella Market. The Fall Farm Tour will take place from Friday, October 9 - Sunday, October 11 with the following six farms participating: Renston Garden Market (Winterville), Simply Natural Creamery (Ayden), Parnell Farms (Williamston), Raised in a Bar Farm (Chocowinity), Brock's Berries & Produce Farm (Winterville), and Southside Farms (Chocowinity).

    The Fall Farm Tour promises to be a weekend filled with activities, fresh fall produce, meats, and other great items! All participating farms will be open to the public and will feature unique offerings providing attendees a chance to learn about our local food economy while learning more about farming.

    Each participating farm has created their own schedule for attendees to visit and experience a weekend filled with activities and events for children and adults alike.

    "The farmers are always excited to have Umbrella Market customers visit their farms," said Uptown Greenville Umbrella Market Manager, Robin Ashley. "The tour gives that extra personal touch that you can't get at a market. It is a great opportunity to see both the hard work and rewards of farming."

    Parnell Farms will have pumpkins and hay bales, homemade jams and jellies, honey and Parnell Farms pork (10% discount on pork). This year we have a small maze for the "little " people ($2 charge). There are cutouts for photo ops and miniature horses, donkeys and mules to see.

    Raised in a Barn Farm has a maze which is 8 acres surrounded by beautiful sunflowers. There are three mazes within it, with the longest at 2.7 miles. They have play areas for the children with barrel train, slide, straw maze, bounce balls, photo ops, and more. On October 10, there is live music planned for the day along with food and craft vendors plus a Zombie Fun Run starting at 6pm! They are selling pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, corn-on-the-cob popcorn, local photography and more. The last three weekends in October are the Six Nights of Fright, so be sure to visit the farm again after the Farm Tour. Come GET LOST IN CHOCOWINITY...and dare to return to SIX NIGHTS OF FRIGHT!
