    Leara Ann Watford Cutler, age 70, a resident of Washington, NC, died Thursday October 1, 2015 at her home.

    A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday October 3, 2015 in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory and will be officiated by Steve Hill, Ronnie J. Woolard, and Phillip Alligood. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Jonathan Sullivan, Justin Sullivan, Coleman Watford, Cameron Watford, Shawn Evans, and Larry Woolard will serve as Pallbearers.

    Ms. Leara was born in Beaufort County, NC on June 9, 1945 to the late David Watford and Buleah Gray Woolard. She was a graduate of Washington High School class of 1963. In December 1965 she married Donald Ray Cutler. Ms. Leara attended Beaufort County Community College and received her Cosmetology license. She owned her own beauty salon as long as her health permitted her and worked at Sullivan's Florist in Belhaven and Michael's as a floral designer. Known as Mama or Nannie to her family, Ms. Leara enjoyed spending time with her family, spending time on the beach and Elvis. She loved her family and friends. Ms. Leara was a member of First Church of Christ in Washington.

    Survivors include, a daughter, Donna C. Sullivan and husband Keith of Pinetown, a son, Todd Cutler and wife Nikki of Washington, four grandchildren, Jonathan Sullivan, Justin Sullivan, Erika Sullivan, Sierra Cutler, three great grandchildren, Ava Everett, Cabella Sullivan, Trinity Sullivan, a brother Ric Watford and wife Sue of Raeford, a sister Melva Whitaker of the home, and many nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her parents Ms. Leara is preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Cutler.

    The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until the funeral hour at Paul funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of Todd and Nikki Cutler.
