    The prime example of Tax Avoidance is Wal Mart. Their recent and best scheme yet is their new creation of Shell Corps in another Country which fosters Tax Hiding of Assets.

    One commentator states it well:

    Three ways Wal Mart screws those of us who DO pay taxes:

    1) Every dollar that WalMart evades in taxes is made up by increasing taxes on you, me and the rest of the taxpayers.

    2) WalMart keeps its employees' wages and benefits just low enough for the employees to qualify for taxpayer funded food stamps, medical care, etc.

    3) For more than a decade WalMart has been the largest private employer in more than half of the states, making WalMart no different than the Wall Street banks with respect to making it TOO BIG TO FAIL. If the company experiences financial problems the politicians they own will pull the same taxpayer funded bailout scam they pulled with the banks starting in 2008.

    You might say, "They are just smarter than me and that is why they are profitable!" Sadly, the "They" is the Walton family. Also the "They" are the stockholders whose investment is based on too many hidden assets which ARE NOT SHARED WITH INVESTORS BECAUSE THEY ARE UNREPORTED!

    In the early years of their start in Arkansas times were tough for agriculture. People would work for whatever a company paid. Mr. Sam got in trouble over not paying minimum wages to employees.

    He was taken before the Court and ordered to comply with Minimum Wage AND pay back the employees for the last year of shortages. He sent out the letter with the check enclosed to balance his pay to employees for that year.

    Enclosed in the envelope was a note: "Anyone who cashes this check may consider themselves fired!"
