JLF Headliner sets out key issues in 2016 presidential race

RALEIGH - Conservatives and Republicans should avoid spending too much time asking who can win the White House in 2016. Instead they should identify the candidate who can lead once he/she's in office.

That was one piece of advice nationally recognized pollster Kellyanne Conway offered Tuesday during a John Locke Foundation Headliner speech in Raleigh. The 75-minute presentation shied away from much discussion of particular Republican candidates and focused instead on the issues motivating voters.

Conway often suggested that Republicans sharpen their focus on key elements within the voting population. The video clip below highlights the importance of "job holders," as opposed to the "job creators" and "job seekers" who have dominated GOP discussions in recent elections.

At the speaker's request, CarolinaJournal.tv is not posting video of the full speech.
