The United States Constitution, in Article V, allows for such remedy to bring the Federal government more into compliance of the vision of our Founding Fathers, relative to innate needs of citizenry.

    On February 20, 2014, there was a mock debate within the confines of the Beaufort County Superior Court regarding what would be the eventual outcome of modern day Constitutional Conventions, resulting from the possibility that state legislatures would call them, thus providing a platform, a voice to allow an enlightened public the apparatus to modify the way the United States governs itself. The United States Constitution, in Article V, allows for such remedy to bring the Federal government more into compliance with the vision of our Founding Fathers, relative to the innate needs of our citizenry.

    In this mock debate, Beaufort County Commissioner Hood Richardson spoke for the need of State Constitutional Conventions to do such, and Defense of National Borders advocate Jeff Lewis took the counter position.
