Greenville, NC is the host of PirateFest!
    Greenville and Pitt County have emerged as the commercial, cultural, educational, and medical hub of Eastern North Carolina. Greenville, the county seat, has grown into a thriving small metropolitan city of over 81,000. Geographic location and easy affordability make Greenville-Pitt County a repeat choice for travelers. The bustling activity yet relaxing pace entice many to come back and stay.

What is PirateFest?
    A large outdoor celebration offering fun, food, and entertainment for all!

    Arts and Treasure Isle will showcase beautiful one-of-a-kind juried art available from more than 60 exhibiting N.C. artists including mediums of all types – pottery, jewelry, wood, painting, and more! Bring your doubloons!

    Fabulous music, food, and attractions from nations around the globe will be featured in a large component of the PirateFest, known as the International Ports O'Call, in its 20th year of existence.

    Blackbeard’s Market will offer a variety of goods to plunder, and lots of grub and grog to satisfy your taste buds. You’ll want to be on the lookout for roving pirates who might sing you a chantey or challenge you to a sword fight.

Buccaneer Bash - Friday, April 8, 5-9pm:
    Enjoy the Buccaneer Bash live-music event on the eve of PirateFest! This Freeboot Friday-style event will offer live music, beer and wine, activities for children and roving Pirates! The event will take place at 4th & Evans. Watch for times and more details coming soon!

PirateFest Street Festival - Saturday, April 9, 10am-7pm:

    There's fun and entertainment for everyone at Uptown Greenville! Fine Art sales and demonstrations (Arts and Treasure Isle), three sound stages loaded with entertainment all day long, grub and grog galore, international foods and entertainment (International Ports O'Call), arts, crafts, and goods vendors (Blackbeard's Market place), wine and beer garden, costume contests, children's games and educational displays (everything you've always wanted to know about a Pirate found in Little Pirates Pavilion), roving Pirate entertainers and swordfights...Beware!

Arts and Treasure Isle - April 9:
(Located along Evans Street in Uptown Greenville between 5th & 1st Streets)

    Arts and Treasure Isle features North Carolina Artists, Arts Organizations, and Uptown Greenville restaurants. Fine arts and crafts will be for sale and on display. Area arts organizations will also have booths, as well as demonstrations and children's arts activities. Uptown Greenville restaurants will have food for sale. There will be live music throughout the day, as well as a cold beverages at the Buccaneer Bash Grog Garden!

Roving Pirate Entertainers - April 9:
    Several visiting Pirate groups will be with us during the day, sharing their artistry in the form of song, storytelling, swordplay and dress. Though some of them are scheduled to perform at the festival's soundstages, much of their time will be spent roaming the streets of Greenville, and interacting with our guests! Bring your camera! They love to have their picture taken!

Buccaneer Bash Main Stage - April 8-9:
    Located on the Rose Parking Lot (corner of 4th & Evans), found in the Grog Garden (that's the Pirate beverage area for ye landlubbers!) Enjoy a variety of live music and grog throughout the day at the Buccaneer Bash Main Stage & Grog Garden! Regroup with yer crew at the end of the day at the Main Stage for the headline band performance beginning at 5:30 pm.

PotashCorp Little Pirate's Pavilion - April 9:
    Located on Evans across form the courthouse, Little Pirates Pavilion includes, live music, the School of Pirate, crafts, activities and giveaways along with educational displays on the life of a pirate. For a small fee, little Pirates can enjoy an inflatable Pirate Ship and other bounces provided by Fun Time Promotions.

Parade of Pirates and Pirate Costume Contest- April 9:
    Parade starts at 10:00 am at 5th and Evans Street
Costume contest begins at the conclusion of the Parade on the International Ports O' Call stage at the Town Commons:

    Calling All Pirate's! Dress as a pirate and for the more adventurous crew..deck out your bike, big wheel or toy car and join in the walking Parade of Pirates! Gather in front of Theatre Uptown on 5th to walk down Evans to the International Ports O' Call Stage. The Parade will be led by The Motely Tones. The Pirate Costume Contest follows immediately with prizes fro Funniest Pirate, Most Colorful, Best Props and Scariest Pirate. The Parade of Pirates leaves from 5th and Evans at 10 am and ends at International Ports O' Call Stage.

Historical Trolley Tours - April 9:
    From 1pm & 3 pm (Each tour will last approximately 1 hour)
Tour leaves from shuttle stop at 5th and Evans (across from Starlight Cafe)

    Free historical trolley tours will be offered, touring historical sites found in Uptown Greenville and on the campus of East Carolina University, led by Roger Kammerer, local artist, author, and historian.

International Ports O'Call - April 9, 10am-5pm:
    For 15 years, thousands of people have come together to celebrate the diversity that makes Greenville the jewel of North Carolina. This open-air festival takes place on the Town Common and features music, food, and attractions from nations around the world. This year promises to be bigger and better than ever with a large cultural pavilion featuring costumes, games, and crafts from the native lands of many people who call Greenville home. Be sure to take part in this celebration!

International Ports O'Call Stage at the Town Commons:
