In 1974 my wife and I entered the Holloween Costume Contest. Dr. John was the MC & Performer. We were outrageous costumes, if you catch my drift, and came in 2nd Place. First off Stan the school may cost 52 million but 42 million is coming from lottery money. Also as per FERPA laws even children over 16 are minors until they graduate. The police did not want to get involved because yes the students were stupid but most of them left when the few decided to get crazy. Restitution is being made for damages and most of the kids have offered to volunteer their time. Punishment has been given. My thoughts( I know you don’t like outside thoughts on here unless they agree with you) however my thoughts are hopefully they have learned their lessons and they or future seniors will realize it was wrong. I’m sure most of you have done stupid things in your life. Leave it to the authorities.

Van Zant, I am just a voter in Beaufort County who observes what is going on from the outside. What I see in the Republican Party are some wonderful volunteers who work hard and have the best interests of the County and Country in mind. The Hate is not coming from the Party but from the PAC. What I saw was fraudulent negative signs and banners all over the County. I see a Commissioner name calling and disrupting meetings. That doesn’t make him correct or honest. That just makes him loud and obnoxious.,

From the start, I refused to get the Covid-19 vaccination because I have never gotten a flu vaccination because I don't want to mess with my immune system. I was mocked and labeled a right wing MAGA conspiracy theorist and lost friends who shunned me.
I started to read everything I could get my hands on. I read medical and scientific journal reports, geopolitical articles, economic reports, policy reports, testimonials etc. I have always been a progressive liberal but I started to see that something had happened to the left where they had become compromised and became supporters of the establishment and supported restriction on free speech and in favor of censorship to supposedly protect us from misinformation that I just knew was not. And a whole new World had manifested that turned my world upside down. It was so disorienting and painful for me. I couldn't even get people to engage in discussion with me partly because people were totally unaware of what was happening.

A new school isn’t going to fix the disappointing results from WPS With a declining population why build some giant monstrosity - scale it back and use the money to improve performance in all the city schools. A Grand Jury of ordinary people found evidence to bring him to trial. A jury of ordinary people both attys picked rendered a verdict saying he was guilty of election fraud. Just attended one of these meetings tonight. I am truly concerned with threats to ‘democracy,’ meaning fair elections and constitutional rule, but mostly from the left. This meeting was purely an anti-Trump rally, and the judge said as much when I asked, and I barely escaped without being yelled at by more than a couple people. I was a lifelong Dem also, but these people today are brainwashed cult members.

Trump should have known at least the basics of the PRA. Nevertheless, he held onto boxes of classified documents rather than turn them over to NARA.That alone would have would have been a violation of the PRA and other laws — but what he did was even worse.
Trump kept highly classified documents about military and nuclear capabilities of foreign countries and US military contingency plans in truly absurd places at Mar-a-Lago. Then he showed them to civilians without security clearances, while indicating that he knew he wasn’t allowed to. When the DOJ subpoenaed him Trump indicated to his lawyers that he wanted to cover up his possession of the documents. This article is just bull! There was senior DOJ coordination but Biden was not involved. An action such as this had never been done before--an FBI raid on a former President.Trump had ample opportunity to return documents belonging to the National Archives.He returned a selective few on two occasions but never returned all. He lied saying he had no more documents.He lied and hid what remained.Documents were not subject to Presidental Records Act. Editor--your are entitled to your own opinion,but not your own facts!

My wife and I have friends who left United and went with Global. It's concerning and sad when congregations don't agree and run off to start a new church. (non-Biblical disagreements) But when a large church body (national / international conference) shoots its own self in the foot [so to speak] and drives off huge numbers of their people, it's particularly saddening.

We are told in the Bible that God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. His sacred Word hasn't changed. And at end of the Revelation, it's even clearly stated that anyone who adds to or takes away from the Word will be judged severely.

Other churches also change their directions, but this is not acceptable in God's sight when it comes to Biblical matters. We are even warned by the early Apostles that wolves will come in sheep's clothing. Happened Then - Still Happening Today.

I no longer live in Atlanta, but have wonderful memories of the Bistro. I married Big Frank who worked there. Tom and Sandy closed the club and my family and a few friends attended. Jimmy Buffet played for my wedding reception! I loved Silverman and Joni Mitchell!! Thanks for the memory.
